Look better, detox faster & tone your butt
Desk jobs, driving cars, watching t.v and generally smooshing oneself out of shape through life type activities, all have the effect of messing with your posture.
So I’ve got a brilliant exercise to open your lungs (which is one of your largest detox systems), lengthen your chest, the fronts of your shoulders and hips and strengthen your butt! All of which are a mighty good start towards improving your posture.
This is your starting position (intense stare into distance is optional).
Then push through your feet using your butt to raise your hips up as high as is comfortable. You’re aiming to get into this table top position.
You may discover a rather strong stretch occurring, especially in your upper arms so don’t feel the need to get your torso to horizontal right away, ease into it as your body allows. If you’re feeling any pain or excessive tension in your lower back or neck this isn’t the right exercise for you at this stage.
I’d love to hear how you get on with this exercise so please do post me your comments below.
If you enjoyed this post share it with your friends, tweet it and generally cause a big fuss over it! Thanks!
See you next Wednesday!

I bet this is going to be a lot harder than it looks! I’ll let you know how I go. How long should we hold it for?
Hi Kathy, thanks, good question! You can start off by moving in and out of the table position, say for 5-10 reps, not too quickly, this will help your body get used to the position. If that feels ok then you can practise holding it, starting with 10seconds for 3 sets.
